Role overview
We are hiring for a Full-Time Meat District Manager with a wage range of $70,000 - $90,000 at our Operations Office in Stony Plain, AB.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist Meat Program Director in the creation of product and program initiatives including planograms, product assortment, SKU rationalization
Collaborate with managers and supervisors to develop food plans and programs that continue to set us apart
Monitor and maintain company-wide Meat Department programs and procedures
Conduct regularly scheduled store visits to provide assistance and ensure compliance with operational standards & procedures
Develop training programs to provide employees with a thorough understanding of correct food production methods
Maintain high standards for the company’s food safety and handling practices, constantly seeking ways to improve processes and training
KPIs: Production costs, labour utilization, in-store program results
Support store Meat Department Management teams to:
Achieve weekly, segmental, and yearly targets (sales, budget, productivity, shrink etc.)
Manage day-to-day operations
Resolve inventory and operational issues promptly
Implement product recall procedures
Reports to the Meat Director
What you Bring:
5+ years of experience in carcass butchery or butcher shop operation and management
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to balance multiple projects and work in a fast paced environment
Ability to both independently and in a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite and the ability to quickly learn new computer programs
Ability to work in-office and travel to locations across Alberta ( 60-80% )
Ability to assist stores through peak food-retail periods
Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent is required
Experience managing grocery retail businesses is preferred
Experience managing or operating a butchery or meat department environment is an asset
