Description
The Team
The Mineral Resource Information Team is an established and collaborative group within the British Columbia Geological Survey that plays a key role in managing and sharing the province’s mineral resource information. Made up of five geoscience professionals with diverse expertise, the team works closely with geoscientists, geologists, geomatics specialists, and partners across government to support informed decision-making, responsible resource management, and public access to accurate, up-to-date information. The Role
As a Mineral Assessment Geoscientist, you will play a key role in managing British Columbia’s collection of technical mineral exploration reports and ensuring submissions meet legislative requirements under the Mineral Tenure Act and related regulations. Working with industry clients, government partners, and colleagues across the Ministry, you will help make important geoscience information accessible, accurate, and available for future exploration activities, supporting informed decision-making and public service. This unique opportunity combines geoscience, technology, and data management, allowing you to contribute your expertise while working in an inclusive and collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives, continuous learning, and meaningful contributions to British Columbia’s mineral exploration sector.

About this Position:
Remote work is allowed, this position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved telework agreement.
This position can be based in a Natural Resource Sector office. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
