Die Maintenance Associate

Your position is responsible for providing professional and dependable service and develop our team’s capability to deliver JEC’s key objectives to all our customers and suppliers. You will have a complete understanding of all customer/supplier requirements.

Your understanding of JEC’s Business Management System Manual, the associated BMS policies, processes, and their interaction is imperative. A commitment to JEC’s philosophy of Safety, Morale, Quality, Cost, Delivery & Environment is a requirement.

This role will be measured against specific targets as noted in the departmental business plan.

SUMMARY

Responsible for industrial maintenance of facility and
factory automation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Read and interpret blueprints, tooling drawings, sketches,
and technical documentation.

• Participate in Design/Layout review of new tooling as well
as tooling trials.

• Support production teams by investigating tooling-related
issues and minimizing downtime.

• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble tooling
according to engineering drawings and

specifications.

• Preventative maintenance and repair of dies, transfer
fingers, scrap chutes and fastening systems

• The ability to operate all equipment within the stamping
department and provide maintenance support

• Accurate updating and preparation of die quality, design
and maintenance records

• Generate continuous Improvement ideas for process quality
and better maintainability

• General machining and fabrication for the site

• Continuously improving process through part accuracy and
stamping reliability

• Work at a highly detailed level from engineering drawings
of our products and equipment

• Other duties may be assigned

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Certificate or Degree from two-year College or technical
school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience. Practical experience in
MiG, TiG, and ARC welding as well as familiarity with hand and shop tools such
as lathes, saws, mills etc. is an asset. Must understand general machining and
fabrication principles.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short
correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to
effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to
customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts,
interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and
volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions
furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal

with problems involving several concrete variables in
standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have
knowledge of Manufacturing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet
software and Word Processing software.
