Role overview

The Associate Lawyer role is suited for a junior lawyer eager to develop expertise in litigation, including family, civil, and business law. The successful candidate will handle legal research, consult with clients regularly, draft vital documents, and represent clients in Provincial and BC Supreme Courts. This position offers the opportunity to engage directly with clients and work on interesting litigation cases.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation
Consult regularly with clients to provide guidance and updates
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and agreements
Represent clients in Provincial Court and BC Supreme Court appearances
Offer clear and effective legal advice pertaining to litigation matters
Provide litigation support throughout case development and trial

Preferred Qualifications

Admission to the Bar and licensed to practice law in BC
Strong skills in legal research and litigation support
Analytical thinking with keen attention to detail
Effective time management abilities
Interest in litigation, particularly in family, civil, and business law
In addition to English, additional languages proficiency like in Persian, Chinese or Korean or Tagalog or Spanish, while not required, will be considered as asset.

Salary range is given as a reference the compensation is based on split fees basis.
