Mobile Valve, a division of Source Atlantic Ltd, is Atlantic Canada’s leading valve and actuation service contractor and distributor located in Tracy, NB. We recognize our team of dedicated and customer-oriented employees as a vital strength within our organization.
We are currently seeking a Valve Technician in Tracy, NB.
As a Valve Technician, you will be responsible for managing the receipt and dispatch of goods, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control. You will maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Additionally, you will support technicians in their day-to-day repair work, including preparing tools and materials, and performing basic mechanical tasks. You will be responsible for traveling to customer sites, assisting our current technicians with servicing, testing, adjusting, trouble shooting, repairing, maintenance, removal, installation and inspection of safety and relief valves. You will also work in our valve shop sand blasting, cleaning and receiving product. Factory training and certification will be provided to successful candidate. Overtime and travel may be required on short notice.
Requirements:

Must be Mechanically inclined with experience
Understanding and knowledge of a mill and/or industrial environment
Demonstrate sound judgment with the ability to make decisions and corrections with problems are detected
Able to make clear and accurate reports (written and verbal)
Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
Knowledge and previous experience with measurement devices and test gauges an asset
Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Able to assume responsibility and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions
Excellent organizational and customer relation skills
Experience in Safety Valve maintenance in shop and field Industrial settings would be an asset.

The expected base compensation for this position is $20-$25/hr (or more) depending on relevant experience, technical competencies, certifications, etc.
