As an equal-opportunity employer, we welcome folks of all genders, identities, orientations and abilities to apply.Position Overview:We’re looking for an Accounting Assistant who’s comfortable in QuickBooks, has an eye for detail and brings a fresh perspective to legacy processes. Our ideal candidate is someone who values both precision and progress and thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven workplace.Whether you're reconciling accounts or helping us rethink old workflows, you'll play a key part in helping our team stay agile and accurate as we grow.Key Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day accounting tasks including data entry, invoicing and reconciliations using QuickBooks Online.
  • Assist with processing payments, tracking expenses and generating reports.
  • Help modernize our accounting practices by offering input on workflows and improvements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized digital records.

Follow existing processes and contribute to refining them as needed.

  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Support seasonal accounting needs around photo day activities and vendor payments.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with QuickBooks Online (minimum 1 year).
  • A fresh outlook on traditional accounting practices.
  • Strong attention to detail — you catch errors before they become problems.
  • Reliable, self-motivated and able to manage tasks independently.
  • A growth mindset — you’re open to learning, feedback and new ideas.
  • Good written communication skills for documenting processes and providing updates.
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines and adjusting to seasonal needs.

This is a contract position until March 15, 2027 at our main studio in Vancouver. It is not remote-eligible. Successful candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Since we work with children and minors, candidates must also pass a criminal record check.Benefits:
