Breakfast / Line Cook

Full-time and part-time positions

Pay: $20.00 per hour for the first 90 days, then $21.00–$22.00 per hour based on training and experience.
Part-time: 20 hours per week.
Full-time: 32–40 hours per week.
Schedule: Flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Cookies Grill has been serving Chilliwack since 2003. We’re looking for an experienced breakfast/line cook who takes pride in their food, works clean and can keep orders moving during a busy service.

You should be comfortable cooking eggs to order, omelettes, Eggs Benedict, pancakes, French toast and other breakfast favourites. You’ll also prepare lunch and dinner orders, complete prep and help keep the kitchen ready for the next shift.

What you’ll do

Set up and stock your station before service.

Prepare orders accurately and coordinate with the other cooks so each meal is ready together.

Follow our recipes, portion sizes and plating standards.

Keep your station clean and organized throughout the shift.

Complete daily prep, label and date food, and rotate stock.

Follow food safety procedures, including temperature checks and proper food storage.

Help with dishes, restocking and kitchen cleaning as needed.

Communicate clearly with the kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Required qualifications

At least two years of commercial line-cooking experience, including experience in a busy breakfast kitchen.

Confident cooking fried, scrambled and poached eggs, omelettes and breakfast items on a flat-top griddle.

Able to manage several tickets at once while maintaining consistent food quality.

Valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certification or a recognized equivalent.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Availability for weekends and evenings.

Willingness to follow established recipes, accept feedback and help other team members.

Legally authorized to work in Canada.

A culinary diploma or Red Seal certification is an asset, but is not required. Practical cooking experience matters most for this position.
