As an Inside Sales Representative, you will respond to inbound calls and web leads from motivated and distressed homeowners across the Greater Toronto Area — sellers dealing with divorce, financial distress, inherited property, or homes needing major repair. You will be the first point of contact for every seller: qualifying their situation and their property, and booking an appointment for our outside acquisitions team. Every lead is company-supplied — there is no cold calling or self-generated pipeline. Roughly half the role is what happens after the first call: nurturing leads
that aren't a fit yet, following up on appointments that didn't result in a contract, and re-engaging older leads as their timelines change. This is a customer-service-and-qualification role with a sales outcome attached, not a hard sell role. This is an existing team position, and reports to the Sales Manager. The base salary is $45,000 CAD, plus commission.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$45,000 CAD base salary, plus commission
Year 1 OTE: $60,000 – $70,000 CAD
OTE for experienced / strong performers: $100,000+, with no stated ceiling — commission is uncapped
Commission paid on appointments booked that convert to a deal, plus additional compensation for nurturing assigned leads through to contract and for converting aged leads
Company-paid health benefits: dental, vision, extended health care, and life insurance
10 vacation days, 5 sick days, plus statutory holidays
Laptop provided; cell phone reimbursement
Full sales training and a structured levelling system, with a defined path to higher commission tiers
Library of audiobooks and learning resources; coaching toward personal, professional, and financial growth
Quarterly in-person team meetings and periodic team events
Fully remote working arrangement
THE COMPANY & CULTURE
Our client is a privately owned real estate investment company based in the Greater Toronto Area, founded in approximately 2008 (17+ years in business). They buy homes directly from homeowners in difficult situations — quickly, discreetly, and with dignity — then renovate and resell the properties or match them with investor-buyers. The company is in a scale-up growth stage, growing 15–25% annually, and employs approximately 20 people. Their culture is built on four core values: be helpful and kind, solve problems, do what you say you're going to do, and learn, grow and evolve. The Inside Sales team works fully remotely, and the company builds connection through regular team lunches, events, and quarterly in-person meetings.
OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY
Head office: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Work arrangement: Fully remote (WFH), 100% phone-based — no daily in-office requirement
In-person attendance required only for quarterly company meetings and periodic team events
Territory: None — this is not a territory-based role. You will handle inbound leads from across the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario by phone
Hours: 8.5-hour shifts (8 working hours plus a 30-minute lunch), 5 days per week. Shifts, not standard 9–5 — a shift may start as early as 8:30 a.m. or run as late as 8:00–8:30 p.m. One weekend day is required (Saturday or Sunday). A split shift is occasionally required as the team scales back up to full strength.
Overnight travel: None required
EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
1–5 years of phone-based sales, inside sales, or customer care experience
Inside/phone-based, B2C, consultative sales or customer service background — high-volume inbound response, qualification, appointment setting, follow-up, and retention experience all transfer directly
Hard-closing, outbound B2B sales backgrounds are not a fit for this role
Real estate industry experience or a real estate licence is not required, though it is an asset — as is personal experience buying or selling a home
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Based in the GTA or within reasonable travel of Toronto, with a reliable remote work setup
TECHNICAL SKILLS
CRM experience is an asset — full training provided on the company's CRM system
Standard proficiency in Microsoft Office / general computer literacy required
Comfortable working from a CRM-driven task list throughout the day
THE PRODUCT / SERVICE / SOLUTION
Off-market home acquisition — buying homes directly from GTA homeowners facing divorce, financial distress, inherited property, or homes needing significant repair, offering speed, certainty, and discretion in exchange for a price below MLS.
PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS / INDUSTRY FOCUS
Motivated and distressed GTA homeowners: divorcing couples, owners of inherited properties, financially distressed owners, and owners of homes needing major repair
B2C — you will be speaking directly with individual homeowners, by phone
Geographic focus: Greater Toronto Area and broader Ontario
SALES CYCLE / CALL LENGTH
First qualification calls typically run about 50 minutes, though some run 10–20 minutes
Qualification on the first call is deliberately not exhaustive — you screen for equity and motivation, and the outside acquisitions team digs deeper at the appointment
The goal of every qualifying call is to book an appointment — appointments can always be cancelled later if the deal isn't a fit
COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES
17+ years in business with an established reputation in the GTA
Fast, guaranteed, and discreet off-market sale process for sellers
Growing 15–25% annually
Structured 30/60/90-day training and levelling system with a clear path to increased earnings
Real career path into outside sales for strong performers
TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES
Year 1 time allocation (totals 100%):
45% — Inbound lead response and qualification (first calls on new leads)
30% — Nurturing and follow-up (aged leads, no-contract callbacks, re-engagement)
15% — Appointment booking, confirmation, and handoff to the outside sales team
10% — Administrative work and CRM hygiene
On a typical day, you will answer inbound calls and respond to web leads and messages within 5 minutes, have real and empathetic qualifying conversations with sellers, book appointments, run the appointment confirmation sequence, follow up on nurture and aged leads, and keep every lead accurate and current in the CRM.LEADS
100% company-supplied inbound leads — web leads and inbound calls. No cold calling or self-generated prospecting
Approximately 50–75 net leads reach the team each week
5-minute response standard on all inbound leads and messages
OVERNIGHT TRAVEL
None required.
SUPPORT & TRAINING
Structured 30/60/90-day training and levelling program (Level 1 through Level 3)

Every lead is supplied — no cold calling, ever
Genuine work-life structure: fully remote with a defined schedule, even with evening and weekend coverage built in
A real career path — strong performers can progress into an outside acquisitions role with significantly higher OTE
Meaningful work — helping people navigate genuinely difficult situations toward a fast, dignified solution
