General Labourer

Day Shift: 3:00 pm to 1:30 am Monday to Thursday

Location: Tomken Road and Eglinton Avenue, Mississauga

$23.55/ hr

• Assemble large garage doors using hand and powered tools
• Follow blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets

Requirements:

• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience
• Proficiency in using hand and powered tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Steel-toe safety boots required; additional PPE will be provided

Work Environment:

• Indoor, fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Assist in the assembly of components using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment
• Operate forklifts safely to move materials within the warehouse or production area
• Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment issues
• Support the setup and changeover of manufacturing lines or assembly stations
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to adhere to safety standards
• Handle warehouse tasks such as loading, unloading, and inventory management
• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals efficiently

Qualifications

• Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse operations is preferred
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical concepts
• Warehouse experience, including forklift operation, is a plus
• Mechanical knowledge or background in manufacturing processes is advantageous
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
• Basic understanding of safety procedures related to manufacturing environments
