Join Beacon Community Services as a Homelessness Prevention Outreach Worker, an important member of the Homelessness Prevention Team that assists clients to find and secure market rental housing. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your strong communication, case management, and interpersonal skills to help clients develop their skills to thrive in independent market housing. Benefits Include
Days/Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm (37.5 Hours per week)
This is a 6-month temporary position until February 2027

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager of the Homelessness Prevention Program, the Homelessness Prevention Outreach Worker joins a multi-faceted team working in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Beacon Community Services that make a difference in people’s lives every day. The Homelessness Prevention Worker position connects with youth and those recently released from incarceration who are struggling with homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. The Homelessness Prevention Program assists clients in securing appropriate housing that meets their needs and provides ongoing support to ensure the client’s success in maintaining their housing.
