Position Summary/Objective:

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Medium Duty Truck Driver/ Shop Assistant to join our team.

You will safely transport fabricated steel products to customer sites throughout the GTA while representing Alloy Fusion with professionalism and excellent customer service. When deliveries are complete, you'll work alongside our fabrication team, assisting with shop operations, material handling, and general facility support.

Main Responsibilities/Duties:

Safely operate company medium-duty trucks (no air brakes required) throughout the GTA.

Load, secure, transport, and unload fabricated steel products.

Tow company trailers safely and confidently.

-

Complete daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.

-

Maintain professionalism while interacting with customers at delivery sites.

-

Assist with receiving, organizing, and moving materials throughout the shop.

-

Support fabricators and welders with general shop duties.

-

Learning miscellaneous metals and structural steel fabrication techniques.

-

Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

-

Assist with inventory organization and material handling.

-

Follow all company safety procedures and transportation regulations.

Support other operational duties as required.

Who You Are:

-

Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record

-

Experience towing trailers (work or personal use).

-

Comfortable loading and unloading materials.

-

Strong commitment to safety.

-

Excellent communication skills.

-

Excellent reliability and attendance.

-

An interest in learning and mechanical aptitude.

-

Construction or steel fabrication is an asset.

Work Environment:

-

On-site position in Newmarket, Ontario.

-

Hours 7am-5pm; Monday to Friday with flexibility that allows start and finish times to shift by approximately 1 hour on a regular basis, and occasionally by up to 2 hours.

Combination of local driving throughout the GTA and shop-based work.

-

Physical role involving lifting, loading, unloading, standing, and material handling.

-

Driving responsibilities vary daily based on operational needs.

Fast-paced environment where teamwork and flexibility are essential.

Hiring Range Hourly Rate: $24.00- $27.00 per hour
