Pipelayer – Underground Sewer & Water

About the Opportunity

We are currently recruiting experienced Pipelayers for the 2026 construction season.

Successful candidates will join an experienced underground utilities crew installing municipal sewer and water infrastructure on projects throughout Edmonton, with opportunities to support projects in Canmore, Cranbrook, and Kelowna.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy working as part of a high-performing civil construction team.

Responsibilities

Install sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and watermain systems
Prepare trenches and bedding for pipe installation
Align and connect underground utilities to project specifications
Work alongside operators, labourers, and foremen to complete installations safely and efficiently
Read grade stakes and construction drawings
Perform daily quality and safety checks
Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

Previous experience installing underground sewer and water infrastructure
Strong knowledge of municipal underground construction practices
Ability to work safely around heavy equipment
Experience reading plans and grade information is an asset
Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
Willingness to travel when required

Compensation & Schedule

-
$34–$42/hour (based on experience)

Full-time seasonal employment
Edmonton-based work with opportunities on out-of-town projects
LOA available for qualifying projects (case-by-case basis)
