Machine Design Engineer

We are currently seeking a qualified Mechanical Design Engineerto join our team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and test all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery for aerospace products.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Prepare engineering designs and specifications for mechanical products.
• Apply engineering principles to support the design of machines, instruments, controls, robotics, and related equipment.
• Participate in the fabrication, installation, operation, and application of mechanical products.
• Support product testing and evaluate performance against specifications.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and design-related issues.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and technical reports.
• Follow established engineering procedures, standards, and safety requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product performance and manufacturing processes.
• Perform other engineering duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or equivalent combination of diplomas and work experience
• 0 – 2 years of experience in design and development of mechanical components in machining.
• Mandatory machining experience and understanding of machining processes.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to design and analyze mechanical components and systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under immediate supervision and follow established procedures.

Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000 CAD (annual salary)
