Position Overview

Reporting to the Avionics Supervisor, the Avionics Technician plays a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of advanced avionics systems across a diverse fleet of helicopters. Working as part of a highly skilled team, this position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, installing, and maintaining aircraft avionics and electrical systems in accordance with regulatory requirements, manufacturer specifications, and Alpine Aerotech's quality standards. Through technical expertise, precision workmanship, and a commitment to excellence, the Avionics Technician helps ensure every aircraft leaves our facility operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.

How You'll Make an Impact

Aircraft Maintenance & Troubleshooting

-

Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, modify, install, and maintain aircraft avionics, electrical, navigation, communication, and auto-flight systems in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.

-

Apply a thorough understanding of aircraft electrical, power generation, navigation, communication, and auto-flight systems across a variety of helicopter platforms.

Diagnose system malfunctions and perform adjustments, repairs, modifications, testing, and servicing to restore optimal system performance.

-

Perform avionics maintenance and installations in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, manufacturer specifications, and standard operating procedures.

Documentation & Regulatory Compliance

-

Complete and accurately document scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in accordance with Transport Canada regulations and company requirements.

Maintain accurate technical records, maintenance documentation, and certification records to support regulatory compliance and aircraft airworthiness.

Teamwork & Technical Leadership

Support the development of Avionics Apprentices through technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing.

Collaborate with fellow technicians, inspectors, and leadership to achieve production goals while maintaining Alpine Aerotech's high standards for quality and safety.

Continuous Improvement

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and operational performance.

Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and technical excellence while supporting Alpine Aerotech's reputation for delivering world-class helicopter maintenance services.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

-

Valid Transport Canada AME-E Licence.

-

Experience performing maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, modification, and installation of aircraft avionics and electrical systems.

-

Experience working on Bell, Airbus, or Leonardo helicopters is considered a strong asset.

-

Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical, navigation, communication, and auto-flight systems.

-

Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities with a strong focus on quality, precision, and safety.

-

Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.

-

Valid Driver's Licence.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
