Job Summary:

The Senior Automation Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced automation frameworks and scripts to improve software quality and efficiency. This role involves identifying automation opportunities, executing automated QA tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance testing processes. The position requires deep expertise in Playwright automation architecture, scripting, and the integration of AI-powered testing tools, with a focus on continuous improvement and leadership in automation strategy and team development.
Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities for automation within software processes.
  • Design and execute QA tests using automated scripts to validate functionality.
  • Develop and maintain test automation scripts and frameworks, particularly using Playwright.
  • Implement automation for UI testing, API testing, performance testing, and accessibility compliance.
  • Investigate software issues uncovered during automated testing and collaborate on solutions.
  • Lead automation strategy development, governance, and process improvements across teams.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training to QA and development teams.
  • Collaborate with Development, QA, DevOps, and Business teams to embed quality practices early in the development lifecycle.
  • Manage automation project plans, pilot initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain documentation and centralized knowledge repositories for automation artifacts and frameworks.

Required Skills & Certifications:

  • Proven experience designing and evolving scalable automation frameworks using Playwright.
  • Strong hands-on coding skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Experience with reusable automation design, shared libraries, and templates.
  • Expertise in UI, API, performance, and accessibility testing (using tools such as Axe and Lighthouse).
  • Familiarity with AI-powered testing capabilities including test generation and intelligent reporting.
  • Experience identifying and documenting software bugs and quality issues.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to lead automation initiatives and mentor team members.
  • Experience with CI/CD integration of automated tests.
  • Knowledge of secure API design, microservices, and relevant programming (Java, Python, Angular, etc.) is beneficial.
  • Understanding of IAM, OAuth, authentication, and authorization concepts.
  • Experience working onsite with a standard 7.25-hour day schedule, Monday to Friday.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate, RPA, Machine Learning platforms, and Process Mining technologies.
  • Skills in configuring and developing machine learning algorithms and AI models for automation.
  • Proficiency in frontend development technologies such as Angular, Groovy, JSON, HTML/CSS/XML/XPath.
  • Knowledge of OCR and information extraction/classification techniques.
  • Experience documenting Solution Design Documents (SDD) and planning development tasks.
  • Experience developing applications compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) at the AA level.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and database integration for end-to-end automation solutions.
  • Experience with message queues and NoSQL databases.

Special Considerations:

  • Position requires onsite presence at the designated office location.
  • Must comply with standard working hours and onsite attendance policies.
  • Role involves managing multiple concurrent initiatives and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Engagement in leadership and mentorship responsibilities requiring strong interpersonal skills.

Scheduling:

  • Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day.
  • Working hours fall between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, excluding lunch breaks.
  • Onsite attendance is mandatory for this role.
