Duration: 6 months

Core Responsibilities:

  • Patching & Deployment: Own day-to-day patching and software deployment execution using Microsoft SCCM, ensuring SLAs are consistently met.
  • Incident & Platform Support: Troubleshoot Windows Server OS issues, manage outages, and respond to last-minute requests as part of a Level 3 support function.
  • Automation: Read, amend, and troubleshoot existing PowerShell scripts to improve patching execution and reporting; bring ideas for automating and streamlining team processes (dedicated scripters are available for from-scratch builds).
  • Platform Security: Support platform security efforts alongside patching and deployment work.
  • Global Collaboration: Work within a global team of ~8, participating in a Follow the Sun support model, and coordinate with global stakeholders through established change management processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • SCCM Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on experience with SCCM for patching and software deployment (usage/deployment focus, not infrastructure build).
  • Windows Server OS: Strong troubleshooting and analysis skills across the Windows Server Operating System.
  • PowerShell: Medium-level scripting ability - comfortable reading, amending, and debugging existing scripts.
  • Enterprise Scale Experience: Background operating in a large, enterprise-scale environment, with familiarity in change management and working with global teams/stakeholders.
  • Foundational Knowledge: Conceptual understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP roles.
  • Documentation: Experience authoring clear operational documentation.

Preferred Experience:

  • 5+ years in Windows systems administration or server operations within a demanding enterprise organization.
  • Exposure to Transact-SQL, Splunk, SQL Server Reporting, or ITIL certification.
  • Experience with additional enterprise technologies such as Citrix, VMware, or HP.

What to Expect:

  • Standard 40-hour work week, typically starting around 8am for global team calls.
  • 3 days per week onsite.
  • Rotational weekend on-call coverage approximately every 5 6 weeks to support deployment activities.
  • A collaborative, globally-based team of about 8, with gradual ramp-up and full support from teammates.

What We Seek:

  • We're looking for someone curious, self-directed, and highly reliable - comfortable with complex, sometimes ambiguous problems, and motivated to proactively suggest better, faster ways of working rather than simply executing tasks.
