As a member of the Finance Management Team, key responsibilities may include:
- Leadership, oversight and control of the billing, pricing and commissions functions;
- Pricing approval for all beverage alcohol products;
- Leading and coordinating cross-functional pricing activities with both internal and external contributors
- Manages and coordinates that corporate price change process across all retail channels for beverage alcohol product;
- Oversees pricing system administration and process improvement;
- Leading all billing activities to ensure accurate, complete and timely invoicing of customers;
- Resolving complex billing issues and inquiries;
- Account reconciliation and analysis for financial reporting;
- Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards and legislation;
- Provides leadership, direction, coaching and performance management for a team of employees;
- Maintains product knowledge and regularly monitors industry pricing practices;
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows while maintaining strong financial controls;
- Oversight of the local alcohol producer market, including pricing and reporting;
- Other duties as required.
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following:
- Professional accounting designation, supported by an undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience.
- More than five years of progressively responsible accounting experience within a complex, high-volume organization, including supervisory experience
- Experience with various financial accounting systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics);
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
- Knowledge of legislation including the Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Control Act, Customs Act, Excise Act, Goods and Services Act and Public Tendering Act;
- Well-developed organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
Salary: HL-21 ($79,385.28 - 103,201.02) (pending classification review)
