Now Hiring: Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty trucks and equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
Complete inspections and repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Alberta safety standards.
Conduct safety inspections and identify potential mechanical concerns.
Maintain accurate service records and work orders.
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs as required.
Work independently and as part of a team to minimize equipment downtime.

Qualifications

Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate (Alberta) or Red Seal Certification required.
Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and air brakes.
Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 1 or Class 3 with air brake endorsement is considered an asset).
CVIP License is considered an asset but not required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
