STRIVE is working with a well-established organization in the construction equipment industry seeking Certified Small Engines Mechanic in Toronto and Brampton, ON. This permanent opportunity is ideal for a hands-on technician with strong diagnostic skills and experience repairing small engines, tools, and equipment in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair small engines, tools, and equipment
  • Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and routine servicing on rental and customer-owned equipment
  • Repair and maintain 2-stroke and 4-stroke gas engines, electrical tools, and battery-powered equipment
  • Service equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, chainsaws, pumps, generators, compactors, and pneumatic tools
  • Test equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Load and unload equipment while assisting customers with operating instructions when required
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Collaborate with service and operations teams to ensure timely repairs and support

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Small Engines Technician or similar role
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with experience repairing small engines and equipment
  • Experience with 2-stroke and 4-stroke gas engines, electrical tools, and battery-powered equipment
  • 421A, 310T, 310S, 310G, MSTE certification, or manufacturer certifications required
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
  • Personal tools required for the role
