Position Overview:

As a Pastry Cook at The Post, you will contribute to the creation of exquisite pastries and desserts, maintaining the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of pastries and desserts.
Follow recipes and instructions from the Pastry Chef.
Contribute to the creative process of developing new pastry items.
Execute and plate desserts according to established standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen.
Assist in monitoring inventory levels and replenishing supplies.
Adhere to health and safety regulations in the pastry kitchen.
Collaborate with the pastry team to ensure consistency in quality.
Support in the preparation and setup for special events and functions.
Participate in training sessions to enhance pastry skills.
Assist in the proper maintenance of kitchen equipment.

Skills & Experience:

Culinary degree or equivalent qualification, with a focus on pastry arts.
Previous experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role.
Passion for pastry and desserts, with a keen eye for detail.
Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a culinary setting.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift pastry equipment, and work in a dynamic kitchen environment.
