Position Summary:

The Dishwasher is responsible for assisting the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness and organization, as well as assisting in basic food preparation. The Dishwasher will ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment using industrial dishwasher equipment.
• Keep dishwashing area clean and organized.
• Assist in basic food preparation such as chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients.
• Dispose of trash and recycling according to restaurant procedures
• Support the kitchen team with various tasks as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Follow health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with local and state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Food Handling Certificate.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work in different areas of the kitchen as needed.
• Ability to occasionally lift items as heavy as 50 lbs.
