Role overview

An upcoming retirement has created an opportunity at G&E Contracting LP for an experienced Class 1 Driver (Truck and Pup). This is a full-time position based out G&E’s Langford yard in Victoria with jobsites in the local area, reporting to the Dispatcher.

The successful candidate shall have the following qualifications:

Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract is required
Minimum five (5) years’ experience driving truck and pup
Basic equipment operating and loading experience is preferred.
Ability to work different shifts, if required
Safety conscious, possess willingness to learn and practice safe work habits, and actively participate in worksite safety in general
Able to work within a team environment
Able to take direction and instructions

Job duties include the following:

Loading and driving (truck and pup) materials/products to various job sites.
Maintaining vehicle and equipment (i.e. grease and clean truck).

The compensation for this position $32-36 depending on experience and qualifications.
