Project Director – Major Heavy Civil Infrastructure Project
Location: British Columbia | Out-of-Town Rotation (14 Days On / 7 Days Off)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Compensation: $250,000 – $295,000 base + bonus + travel support + benefits
About the Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join one of Canada’s premier heavy civil contractors on a landmark infrastructure project in British Columbia.
We are seeking an experienced Project Director with a proven background leading large-scale heavy civil construction projects, including complex concrete structures, transportation infrastructure, transit, bridges, marine works, and major civil infrastructure assignments.
This role is ideal for a senior construction leader who thrives in technically demanding environments and has successfully managed large project teams, complex stakeholder relationships, and major infrastructure operations from pre-construction through project completion.
The position is based on a rotational out-of-town schedule of 14 days on / 7 days off and offers the opportunity to play a key leadership role on one of the region’s most significant heavy civil projects.

The Role
As the Project Director, you will provide overall leadership and strategic direction for a major heavy civil infrastructure project, overseeing all aspects of project execution including operations, commercial performance, scheduling, safety, staffing, client relations, and project delivery.
You will lead multidisciplinary project teams while working closely with executive leadership, clients, consultants, and key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
This role requires strong operational leadership, commercial acumen, and deep experience managing technically complex infrastructure projects within demanding construction environments.

Demonstrated success managing large project teams and complex field operations
Strong commercial, contractual, and operational management experience
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience working within highly technical and schedule-driven project environments
Strong understanding of construction risk management, scheduling, and project controls
Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical background is considered an asset
Ability to work rotational schedules and travel for project assignments
