We are seeking 2–3 experienced Senior CNC Applications Leads specializing in five-axis precision machining to support complex manufacturing projects and customer technical engagements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior CNC programmer, machining applications specialist, or manufacturing engineer who enjoys solving complex machining challenges, optimizing manufacturing processes, and working directly with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review CAD models, engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications to assess manufacturability.
  • Develop, program, simulate, and optimize complex five-axis CNC machining processes.
  • Determine machining sequences, tooling, fixturing, work holding, and cutting strategies.
  • Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews and recommend design improvements to reduce cost, cycle time, and production risks.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and support machine prove-out, first-article inspection, and production readiness.
  • Work directly with customer engineering teams to discuss technical challenges and recommend practical manufacturing solutions.
  • Support quoting, cost estimation, and new product introduction.
  • Provide technical guidance to CNC programmers and machinists and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in precision CNC machining, machining applications, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Proven experience programming, setting up, and proving out complex five-axis CNC components.
  • Strong CAM programming skills; Mastercam preferred. Experience with hyper MILL, Siemens NX, or similar software is welcome.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc and/or Heidenheim controls.
  • Experience with advanced five-axis machines, ideally DMG MORI or Matsuura.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, tooling, fixturing, tolerances, and inspection methods.
  • Practical DFM expertise and the ability to identify opportunities to improve quality, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Excellent technical communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to U.S. customer sites.
