Role overview

We are hiring for a Full-Time/Part-Time Sourdough Baker with a wage range of $17.00 - $24.00 at our location in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Measure, mix, scale, knead, hand-shape, and score bread

Bake traditional bread and bakery products

Operate bakery equipment (i.e. commercial mixers, rack ovens, proofer, bread slicer)

Adhere to quality, cleanliness, and merchandising standards

Maintain a clean and sanitized work area

Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures

Handle customer customer service inquiries and provide an exceptional customer experience

What you Bring:

Knowledge of the basic principles of bakery preparation, various baking methods, and food safety regulations

Experience with pre-ferments, levain, poolish, sponge

Comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and holidays

A passion for providing an exceptional customer experience

Ability to thrive and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Most importantly, the willingness and enthusiasm for continuous learning and development.
