Available Shifts

Morning Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Night Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Position Overview

As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy throughout the warehouse. You'll be responsible for performing cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, auditing outbound orders, and ensuring inventory records accurately match physical stock. You will work closely with warehouse operations to support efficient and accurate product movement while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy
Investigate inventory discrepancies and process inventory adjustments
Audit outbound shipments, pallets, and warehouse assignments
Process product returns and maintain accurate inventory records
Review and maintain SKU information and inventory databases
Prepare and maintain audit reports and inventory documentation
Work closely with warehouse, receiving, shipping, and operations teams
Support SQF (Safe Quality Food) and company food safety programs
Follow all Health & Safety policies and warehouse procedures
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Assist with additional inventory and warehouse projects as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a distribution centre
Previous inventory, auditing, or warehouse administrative experience is preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Experience with warehouse management systems or ERP software (AS400 experience is an asset)

Equipment Experience (Preferred)

Experience operating warehouse equipment is considered an asset, including:

Raymond Reach Truck
Electric Walkie / Pallet Jack
Counterbalance Forklift
Other Material Handling Equipment (MHE)

Work Environment

Fast-paced food distribution warehouse
Multi-temperature environment including ambient, refrigerated, and freezer areas
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
PPE required in designated work areas
