What You’ll Do

Manage and deliver municipal and Indigenous community infrastructure planning, design, and construction projects
Work in and lead multi-disciplinary project teams on a diverse range of engineering and planning projects
Supervise junior staff delivering infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients
Support business and client relationship development
Prepare proposals for competitive and non-competitive project opportunities
Develop community engagement materials and facilitate project workshops Prepare detailed design calculations and work with CAD team members on design drawing development
Write technical reports for community planning and infrastructure assessments and design
Develop detailed design drawings and specifications
Prepare construction bid documents
Administer construction contracts; familiarity with CCDC and MMCD considered an asset
Supervise construction inspections including quality control and assurance.

What You’ll Bring

A positive and motivated personality!
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or a related engineering field
8+ years of experience working in an engineering role
Consulting experience required; land development and subdivision design experience considered an asset
Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in B.C. or eligible for immediate registration
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and be able to work with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment
Understanding of Indigenous Services Canada funding processes considered an asset
Indigenous Cultural Safety Training and demonstrated experience working with Indigenous communities considered an asset
A desire to learn new skills and an eagerness to grow within your role
A valid driver’s license (in good standing) is mandatory
Must be physically able to conduct field visits commensurate with project work. This may include handling and operation of equipment, travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, and outdoor site visits in all weather conditions on uneven/varying ground terrain.
Must be willing to travel to community for extended periods of time to complete client meetings, field work and limited construction field reviews

Wage Range

$122,000.00 to $143,000.00 per year, wage dependent on years of experience
