Job Description:The Mental Health Nurse Coordinator, under the direction of the Urgent Care Manager and as part of the interdisciplinary Urgent Care Centre (UCC) team, is to provide a complex range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case coordination services to the community mental health and addictions population seen at the UCC. The incumbent provides program consultation and co-ordination, evaluation of clinical interventions, supervision, and provides professional and public education regarding mental health and addiction issues and resources. The incumbent will provide nursing leadership and clinical expertise in the development and maintenance of, community mental health and addiction treatment programs and ensure nursing practice standards are maintained.

Experience

  • Expert in assess., diagnosis & treatment of major mental health & addiction issues
  • 3+ years experience in inpatient or community mental health/addictions

Education

  • Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
