Junior BIM Technician

WHAT'S THE JOB?
Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a Junior BIM Technician to join our passionate, talented team to participate in an exciting mix of local and not-so-local projects. This role is based in Vancouver, BC.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Develop structural design drawings and 3D models according to Aspect’s project quality standards
• Execute BIM projects of all sizes
• Prepare design submissions and other technical documents
• Be proficient with Revit model and drawing production
• Be proficient in family and parameter management and development
• Perform detailed drafting under the mentorship of the senior team members
• Contribute to the team’s technical knowledge resources
• Collaborate with team members across other offices in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Contribute to a fun and welcoming work environment.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• 0 to 3+ years of experience in a similar position with a background in commercial, residential and/or institutional projects.
• Technical degree/diploma/certificate from a related program
• Strong skills in reading, interpreting, and producing structural engineering plans and details
• Strong Revit skills, including family modification, model, and parameter management
• A keen eye for aesthetics and an appreciation for clear and well-coordinated drawings
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently, seeking support as necessary
• Great communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

EXTRA AWESOME:

• Experience with architecturally expressive structures in a wide variety of building materials
• Background in CAD/CAM fabrication software
• Experience with Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper or other parametric modelling experience
• Experience with BIM360

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

• Base Salary CAD $53,000 – $65,000 (will be commensurate with skillset and experience).
