Role overview
We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Account Manager based out of Charlottetown, PEI.
This role involves establishing, building, and maintaining strong customer relationships, providing technical support, and preparing accurate quotes to drive sales and revenue growth in the plumbing, HVAC, construction, and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering value and exceptional service to customers via a confident consultative approach.
Responsibilities:
Drive sales growth through new business development while maintaining existing territory; thoroughly identifying new market and product opportunities.
Build and maintain customer relationships by anticipating needs and proactively deliver effective solutions.
Respond to customer inquiries and support sales activities to drive revenue growth.
Interpret customer specifications and drawings to select appropriate products.
Gather and validate information to prepare accurate, technically compliant quotes.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure technical and project requirements are met.
Coordinate with vendors to obtain timely and accurate information.
Prepare and manage project submittals, documentation, and databases.
Maintain pricing metrics and tools to support analysis and decision-making.
Participate in required training and sales meetings.
Requirements:
3-4 years of sales and/or service experience in a plumbing, HVAC, or construction materials environment
Post-secondary education is considered an asset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated and the ability to work independently
Proven sales and service orientation with a strong ability to identify, engage, and secure new clients through proactive prospecting.
Driven to deliver on growth and profitability
Keen to foster positive, collaborative, and productive team relationships
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with strong overall computer literacy
In accordance with the provincial wage transparency requirements, the expected base compensation for this position is $70,000-$80,000/year (or more) depending on relevant experience, technical competencies, certifications, etc, with opportunities to earn lucrative commissions on Gross Profit Margin.
