Site Superintendent - Commercial Construction

Site Superintendent role with a great local Construction Manager & General Contractor. You take over an ongoing 3-storey commercial building in East Vancouver. This concrete and mass timber build includes nearly 20,000 sqft of office, community space and a daycare. Upon completion in Q1 2027, future commercial projects will likely be located on Vancouver Island or in Northern BC.

This Construction Manager & General Contractor is well respected across BC with a history of successful projects including commercial, mixed-use, mass timber and custom homes builds. They have deep BC roots and over 15 years of successful projects through British Columbia. They are mid-size and take on projects in Greater Vancouver, Vancouver Island and even Northern BC. Most builds come in between $5M and $25M+.

Duties:

  • Take over this project as the concrete is wrapping up and execute the Mass Timber and the interior finishing phases. Expected completion in mid Q1 2027
  • Lead the trade contractors with leadership, detailed scheduling and trade coordination
  • Manage site inspections
  • Work closely with the PM to address construction challenges and support the review of POs and budgets
  • Ensure safety is treated as a priority on-site

Requirements

  • 10 years of site experience
  • Previous experience as a Site Superintendent on commercial or mixed-use projects with values greater than $10M
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • A history of successful project in BC and a strong knowledge of the local codes, challenges and requirements
  • Strong references
  • A history of solid tenure and start to finish projects
  • A willingness to travel for future projects (potentially Vancouver Island and Northern BC).

Compensation

  • Salary: $115,000 - $145,000
  • Bonus: Project Profit Sharing
