About the Role
Join Securiguard as an Undercover Loss Prevention Officer and play an active role in preventing retail theft through surveillance, investigations, and lawful apprehensions. This is not a static security position-you'll be working undercover in a fast-paced retail environment where every shift presents new challenges.

What You'll Do
- Conduct undercover surveillance to identify theft, fraud, and suspicious activity.
- Observe behavioural patterns and proactively detect retail theft.
- Perform lawful apprehensions and merchandise recoveries in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
- Complete accurate incident reports and maintain detailed case documentation.
- Work closely with store management and fellow Loss Prevention Officers to reduce shrink and support investigations.
- Travel between retail locations as operationally required.
- Respond to incidents professionally while exercising sound judgment in high-pressure situations.

Requirements
- Valid BC Security Worker License and Advanced Security Training (AST)
- Minimum 2 years of security experience (retail or mall environment preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of undercover loss prevention experience is an asset
- Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA 1) or equivalent is an asset
- Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills
- Ability to remain composed and professional in high-pressure situations
- Working knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and the Trespass Act is an asset
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel between locations as needed
