Role overview

About Throughline Strategy
As a leading healthcare consultancy firm, Throughline Strategy’s sole mission is to help Life Sciences organizations improve experiences and outcomes for people living with illness and those who care for them. Our global clients come to us for our strategic counsel, behavioural and system insights, and implementation science focus — and because we have a ‘roll-up-the-sleeves’ determination to deliver great work that matters.

About the Role
Throughline Strategy is looking for a Junior Project Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is designed for someone early in their career who brings energy, confidence, exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, and a take-charge attitude to their work. You will support high-impact insights, strategy, and quality improvement projects alongside a cross-functional and highly collaborative team, with plenty of mentorship and hands-on training along the way, and contribute in the following ways:

  • Project Support: Help develop project plans, track timelines and budgets, and coordinate cross-functional teams to help ensure client engagements stay on time and within scope. Support project kickoffs and help maintain project governance and documentation.
  • Team Coordination: Help assign and track tasks across the project team, monitor progress against deadlines, and flag risks or roadblocks before they become problems. Support senior team members in coordinating resources and schedules across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Process & Organization: Maintain project documentation, templates, and trackers. Help identify opportunities to improve how the team works, and bring forward ideas for new tools or processes.
  • Delivery Support: Help ensure deliverables meet internal quality standards and client expectations by supporting the incorporation of client feedback and help the team deliver polished, professional work product.

Once fully trained and onboarded, your role will expand to:

  • Meeting Leadership: Prepare for and confidently drive internal status meetings, arriving with a clear agenda, the latest project updates, and a point of view on next steps. You're known as being the person in the room who says: here's where we are, here's what I'm hearing, and here's the plan.
  • Client Communication: With support, serve as a key point of contact for client, helping to schedule and run status meetings, capture and distribute action items, and follow up to keep workstreams moving. Build trust with clients and colleagues through clear, proactive communication.
  • Help improve workplace culture and space.
  • Other duties as required.

This role is ideal for someone who is naturally outgoing, organized, and confident speaking up — someone who has experience walking into a room, taking ownership, and driving things forward from day one.

Intrigued and curious if you have what it takes?

At Throughline, we firmly believe that culture is as important as the work we do. We hire for values alignment first and foremost. Our values are centred around what it takes to be a great partner:

1. Move It Forward: Even when faced with ambiguous, never-seen-before challenges, our people:

  • “Make %$ happen” in order to make meaningful change and solve challenging strategic problems. Our team takes on every project and task like it’s their baby.
  • Bring strong attention to detail and also have the ability to balance a detail orientation with a big picture perspective.
  • Thrive working in an agency setting and relish the pace of consulting work and ability to deliver results quickly
  • Love helping our client organizations pull-through our projects into concrete action.

2. Know Yourself: Our team is skilled at assessing what we do well. This increases vulnerability and removes uncertainty in how we operate, creating a more dynamic and sustainable culture of trust, innovation, and teamwork. Towards this, our team:

  • All bring a shared passion for improving health outcomes and experiences
  • Share an insatiable curiosity. We like to know how people and things work and dig in to find out.
  • Are very open to receiving feedback to enhance each of our individual and shared performance.
  • Are highly effective working in a self-directed manner.

3. Kindness and Candor: We share the truth with one another in a way that leaves everyone whole and allows people to quickly act on feedback in delivering their personal best work. As part of this we all:

  • Speak well, listen even better. We take the time to understand what people really care about and what motivates them.
  • Love collaborating and helping. We are a team culture and roll up our sleeves to get the job done together.

We'd love for you to apply to join us if you have:

  • Experience leading and organizing teams (volunteer and extra-curricular activities while at college or university count!)
  • 0-2 years experience (internships, co-ops, part-time work count) in a role that required you to juggle multiple priorities. Agency, consulting, healthcare, or another client-facing environment is a plus, but not required.
  • A naturally outgoing, confident communication style. You're comfortable speaking up in meetings, asking questions, and taking ownership of next steps.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and business communication (written and spoken) skills.
  • Demonstrated experience:
  • balancing multiple tasks or priorities with shifting deadlines
  • taking initiative and following through independently, without needing to be micromanaged
  • building relationships and communicating confidently with different types of people and personalities
  • Passion for working in a health-related field
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Second and third language skills are a plus!
  • Comfort learning new digital tools quickly; experience with G-Suite, MS-Office, PowerPoint, and digital collaboration tools (e.g. Zoom, Teams, Mural, Slack, Box etc.) is a plus. Prior exposure to Netsuite/SPP, Salesforce, or Smartsheet is a bonus, but not required — we'll train you.
  • Experience integrating AI tools into planning your day-to-day activities.
