H2O is seeking an experiencedWater Filtration Plant Supervisor to lead and oversee various projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized individual with excellent leadership and communication skills. The Water Filtration Plant Supervisor will be responsible for planning, executing of work and teams in Central Interior BC (Wells). The candidate will be required to ensuring that commitments and request from the client are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

CONDITIONS

Overall remuneration including:

  • Group insurance plan;

  • Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely;
  • Vacation and sick days.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

Reporting to the Operations Lead and Project Manager, the Water Filtration Plant Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Identify and document potential environmental and safety problems;
  • Investigate reported potential environmental and safety problems;
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity;
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality;
  • Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers;
  • Provide information for maintenance plans to ensure that maintenance and production objectives are met;
  • Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies;
  • Oversee safety of operations;
  • Set up machines and equipment.

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES DESIRED

Professional:

  • A minimum of Level 3 in Water & Wastewater Treatment disciplines required;
  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge;
  • Experience operating and maintaining Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and related equipment required;
  • Must be flexible and demonstrate a dedication to the position and to public services;
  • Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Word, and Excel; (CMMS programs)
  • Valid Driver’s License required;
  • Must be able to perform on-call services or operational support for emergency/short staffing conditions;
  • Excellent and professional oral and written communication skills;

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Walking & Standing: 4-8 hr/day;
  • Bending & Reaching: 4-8 hr/day;
  • Pushing & pulling: 4-8 hr/day;
  • Driving 4-6 hr/day;
  • Physical Effort: does not lift weights more than 50 lbs;
  • Environmental Stress: busy atmosphere, working inside and outside.

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors in often in harsh weather conditions.
