Description

As a Production Planner II here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to act as a key link between operations, supervisors, planning, OPL, procurement, ISC PM, and manufacturing teams.

You will report directly to our Sr Materials Mgmt Manager and you’ll work out of our Cambridge, ON location.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, delivered on time, and aligned with customer demand, inventory targets, labor availability, and operational capacity.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
  • Create the Work packages from the 1PS, manage hours with capacity.
  • Work with Material Planner for CTB and SITE 1PS Planner to sequence production orders to maximize skillsets, demand alignment and throughput.
  • Balance customer demand, inventory levels, skillset availability, and production capacity with the OPL.
  • Adjust schedules in response to material shortages, machine downtime, priority changes, or operational disruptions.
  • Release and monitor work orders.
  • Develop and maintain cell/operation capability matrix
  • Majority of time to be spent in the lab/operations ensuring the schedules are met
  • Analyze production capacity and identify bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and material availability.
  • Recommend schedule changes to improve output and reduce idle time.
  • Support line balancing and production flow improvements.
  • Partner with Material Planner, Purchasing and inventory teams to ensure raw materials are available.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
  • Support inventory accuracy and cycle count activities.
  • Communicate schedule updates and priorities to production supervisors, OPL, 1PS Scheduler, ISC PMs and leadership.
  • Collaborate with procurement, OPL, quality, maintenance, logistics, and ISC PMS
  • Escalate risks that may impact customer delivery commitments.
  • Track schedule adherence and production performance.
  • Generate reports and dashboards for KPIs. Analyze trends and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and CSP security clearance.

MUST HAVE

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management or Operations Management
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.

The annual base salary range for this position is $71,100 to $93,400 in Cambridge, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
