The Opportunity
This position is based at Hannon reports to the Manager Planning & Inventory. The Planner is responsible for the timely creation, monitoring, and modification of all production schedules including scheduling orders into webs, lining up webs for the corrugator, and sequencing production jobs for converting presses.
Shift Afternoon: 1:00pm-9:00pm
What you'll do
- Schedule orders into webs, resolves problems by maximizing corrugator and paper efficiency and coordinating solutions to meet customer due dates
- Create web line-up for the corrugator, monitor and modify line-up as necessary to meet customer due dates and times while maximizing corrugator efficiencies and maintaining proper flow of work-in-process sheets
- Schedule production orders at the converting presses. Monitor and modify schedule as necessary to meet shipping and customer requirements while adhering to scheduling guidelines to increase press efficiencies
- Communicate shipping priorities with Shipping Coordinators to ensure customer due dates and times are met. Communicate priorities with the Corrugator and Converting Supervisors as necessary
- Receive customer priorities and requests from Customer Service personnel and provide timely response
- Resolve any discrepancies by collecting and analyzing production information
- Respond to any changes involving dates, quantity, cancellations, and special requirements for shipment and change production schedule as required
- Order roll stock from outside suppliers and Atlantic Mills as required
- Plan and calculate stock replenishment quantities and communicate with Customer Service and other related parties
- Calculate total daily and weekly production quantities and participate in weekly capacity planning process
- Participate in weekly cycle count and quarterly physical counts for roll stock and finished goods
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results and performing other duties as assigned
- Provide back-up support for the other Planners as required
What you'll bring
- College or Diploma or University Degree in Operations/Inventory
- Management, Production Scheduling or related experience
- APICS-CPIM Certificate (or working toward)
- MS Office especially Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced supply chain-environment
- Team player able to balance multiple priorities and make tough decisions

Hiring Range: $66,000.00 - $75,000.00per year. A candidate’s experience and knowledge may be factored into the pay a candidate receives for this position. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
