Description

As an Inspector - Level 2 here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production of high-quality products for our customers by providing quality inspections during various stages of the production process, ensuring the highest quality product is provided by verifying that products meet all print requirements and required specifications, supporting customer reviews of hardware, and serving as the voice of the customer to prevent escapes from the facility.

You will report directly to our Sr Quality Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Cambridge, ON location on an Onsite work schedule.

In this role, you will impact product quality and customer satisfaction by ensuring compliance with print requirements and specifications throughout the production process, supporting customer hardware reviews, and helping prevent quality escapes from the facility.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Able to open Team Center and associated MAP's, CDP's.
  • Understanding of calibration principals, verifying equipment before each use
  • Use of basic hand metrology tools/gauges, such as Micrometers, verniers
  • Able to interpret blueprints, drawings and standards
  • Intermediate understanding of GD&T
  • Basic documentation and reporting skills
  • Able to conduct visual inspection to a standard requirement
  • Ability to run a re-programmed CMM program, and manually able to obtain basic dimensional characteristics
  • Understanding of SPC and capability studies
  • Basic understanding of MSA (measurement System Analysis)
  • Able to sign off on an inspection/MIP in SAP
  • Able to generate a QN in SAP for a non-conformance found
  • Sign off inspection in SAP
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Recommending any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes
  • Inspect Hardware alongside of a Customer

The Honeywell Aerospace building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP (Controlled Goods Program) security clearance.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • College or University Diploma in a technical discipline
  • 2+ years background with quality inspection in a manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blue and drawings.
  • Certified to IPC-A-610

The annual base salary range for this position is $45,200-75,300 in Cambridge, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
