Forklift Operator

Mississauga, ON

Sunday to Saturday shift, 6am- 230pm (a schedule will be provided 5 weeks at a time)

5.5-month contract with the potential to be extended

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate an order picker to retrieve products from various rack heights. Training will be provided; previous equipment experience is an asset.

Accurately pick, scan, and prepare customer orders for shipment or pickup.

Transport products safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.

Verify product quantities, descriptions, and item accuracy against customer orders.

Complete daily equipment inspections and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.

Follow all warehouse safety policies and procedures, including requirements for working at elevated heights.

Meet established productivity, quality, and accuracy standards.

Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure efficient warehouse operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Ability and willingness to safely operate an order picker; training will be provided.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Basic familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is an asset.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Good time-management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Reliable and safety-conscious approach to work.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the shift.

Comfortable working at elevated heights.

Ability to safely lift, carry, and move products as required.

Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.

Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg).

Mandatory Safety Requirements

Complete required Health & Safety training conducted by the Safety Team on your first day.

CSA-approved safety footwear must be worn at all times while working in the warehouse.

A safety vest must be worn at all times while working in the warehouse.
