We are currently hiring for two positions:
- Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
About the Role
A leading automotive manufacturing organization is seeking experienced Mould Set-Up Technicians to join its Production team.
This role is responsible for setting up and maintaining injection moulds, performing mould and tooling changeovers, monitoring production processes, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining product quality while supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform mould and tooling changeovers according to production schedules
- Set up injection moulding machines and related production equipment
- Follow established setup procedures and complete required setup documentation
- Inspect presses, tooling, and equipment at the beginning of each shift and complete safety inspections
- Monitor production processes to ensure consistent product quality and optimal machine performance
- Troubleshoot process issues and support continuous process improvements
- Maintain visual production boards and assist in tracking production performance
- Support the development of action plans to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
- Assist with operator training and provide production support as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S standards
- Comply with quality, environmental, and workplace safety procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or post-secondary education in a technical field
- 3–5 years of injection moulding experience in a setup or process engineering role
- Training or education related to injection moulding processes
- Experience performing mould changes and equipment setup on injection moulding machines
- Strong understanding of:
- Injection moulding processes
- Press controls
- Moulding parameters
- Tool setup
- Material handling and processing
Knowledge of SPC, WHMIS, and quality system requirements
Strong organizational, communication, and mathematical skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment
Willingness to work overtime as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive manufacturing experience
- Experience with plastic compounding using fiberglass materials
- Familiarity with inline compounding (ILC) moulding machines
- Valid forklift certification
- Valid overhead crane certification
