If you’re a hands-on Heavy Equipment Technician who knows your way around diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems—and you’d rather be in the field than stuck in a shop—this one’s for you.

We’re looking for a solid field service tech to diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial compressor and rotating equipment at customer sites across British Columbia. You’ll be trusted to work independently, backed by good support, real benefits, and top-end pay.

Pay & What You Get

$45–$55/hour to start (based on experience)
Overnight travel premiums
Full benefits + pension
Company-paid travel & accommodations
Service truck provided
Day shift: 7:00am–4:00pm (with flexibility for OT & field calls)

What You’ll Be Doing

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, engine, transmission, and emissions issues
Repair and maintain mobile and industrial compressor equipment in the field
Perform preventative maintenance: fluids, lubrication, inspections, cleaning
Replace components and handle major repairs, including engine work
Test equipment after repairs to make sure it’s running right
Fill out work orders and service reports properly
Work safely and follow site and environmental rules
Deal directly with customers in a professional, no-nonsense way

What We’re Looking For

Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician
Valid passport (required for travel)
Strong field troubleshooting experience
Solid understanding of diesel engines and rotating equipment
Comfortable with diagnostic software, service manuals, and schematics
Clean Driver’s Abstract
Able to lift heavy parts and work in all kinds of weather and conditions
Someone who takes pride in doing the job right the first time

Travel & Work Environment

Field-based role covering industrial and commercial sites across BC
About one week per month working on Vancouver Island / Tofino
All travel, hotels, and logistics are 100% covered
