Role overview

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Account Manager is responsible for being a key contributor to the overall performance of the global sales team and revenue targets. They take the lead in ensuring client satisfaction and collaborate both locally and across the broader business to develop sustainable networks and relationships that extend across functions and organizations, including external partners and distributors. Additionally, they are responsible for filtering communication between the client and the company.

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities
Deliver Regional Sales, Profit and Operational Targets

Ensuring best commercial practice is achieved at all times
Achievement of annual sales targets including revenue and pipeline growth
Actively develop, support and deliver initiatives to target competitor products
Collaborate with the broader Wenco business stakeholders to convert a greater proportion of opportunities
Establish and promote trusting relationships with key internal and external customers
Responsible for building the Wenco brand in the region through the attendance of tradeshows, securing opportunities for co-writing papers, delivering presentations at events and building solid client relationships

Continuous Improvement to Customer Service

Promote customer-centric focus, innovation in products, services and ways of interacting with internal customers which add value to the customer and Wenco
Positively influence the customer perception through effective representation of Wenco and related products in the market place
Treat customers with respect, seek customer insight proactively, build relationships of trust with customers and encourage customer focus among all employees and contractors
Manage and resolve customer complaints effectively and in a timely manner

Technical Knowledge

Continually improve self-knowledge of Wenco product and related mining processes
Gather and communicate market and competitor information
Learn and adopt the Miller Heiman sales methodology as promoted by Wenco
Have a clear understanding of how information technology can benefit mines in terms of safety, productivity, maintenance and management.

Experience and Knowledge

Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales position within the mining or mining services industry
Trade, Business, or Engineering qualification
Demonstrated success in selling high-end solutions within a mining and industrial environment
Technical background, with experience in engineering, mining, or technology business
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Intermediate-level sales related ERP skills

Comfortable presenting to large groups from varied backgrounds
Energetic, enthusiastic, results driven
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of modern business systems
The generation and closure of new business
Excellent teamwork skills
Holds current driver’s license in relevant state or region
Exceptional time management

Travel: Often (30% - 50%)

Base salary of $70,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in the company's sales incentive compensation plan.
