Position Summary

The Winter 2027 Co-op Student will work closely with other Students, Accounting Technicians, Senior Accountants, Managers/Associates, and Partners to support a variety of client engagements during our busy tax season.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns.
Complete client bookkeeping and assist with compliance-related financial reporting.
Assist in the preparation of working papers for compilation and review engagement files.
Learn and utilize accounting and bookkeeping software applications.
Develop an understanding of accounting, taxation, client service processes, and when to seek guidance from team members.
Communicate professionally with team members and clients.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client and firm matters.

Qualifications & Other Requirements

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Accounting, Business, Commerce, or related program.
Interested in pursuing the CPA designation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Previous accounting-related work, volunteer, or co-op experience is considered an asset but is not required.

Expected Compensation Range

$39,000 - $49,000 annually
Compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate's academic term, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and overall suitability for the position.
