As a Tim Hortons Baker, you'll ensure the quality and consistency of baked goods, maintain a clean and organized work area, and follow food safety standards. You'll bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies, meeting daily requirements. Your role includes tracking waste, managing supplies, and ensuring proper food presentation and portion control. You'll also maintain sanitation, handle food safely, and work efficiently during peak times, ensuring all food meets Tim Hortons' quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Bake a variety of products such as bread, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries according to production and catering sheets, ensuring daily requirements are met.
• Follow approved recipes, production standards, and use the appropriate equipment to ensure proper food preparation, quality, and presentation.
• Complete production records, track waste, and manage unused portions. Notify the supervisor when supplies are low or there are product shortages.
• Maintain food quality, portion control, and appropriate serving temperatures.
• Keep the work area clean and organized, including all equipment, supplies, and utensils, and ensure cleanliness of display equipment.
• Handle food safely in compliance with all safety regulations during preparation, service, and storage.
• Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before transitioning to other tasks.
• Manage peak production times calmly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Ensure food is presented, served, and displayed according to company standards.
• Adhere to proper sanitation and safety practices, following both corporate and OSHA safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Baking or other food preparation experience is an asset.
• Previous experience in a quick-service restaurant is an asset.
• Friendly, customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and cleanliness.
• Previous experience in food service is a plus, but not required.
• Must be able to stand for long periods, lift and carry up to 25 lbs., and perform tasks involving reaching and bending.
