Deliverables

  • Lead Front-End Planning (FEP) activities by coordinating project scoping, developing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Basis of Estimates (BOE), integrated Primavera (P6) schedules, project budgets, contingencies, milestones, and Business Case Summaries to support successful project execution.
  • Develop, maintain, and control integrated project schedules, cost forecasts, project metrics, and variance analyses while monitoring project performance, identifying deviations, recommending corrective actions, and ensuring alignment between project controls and source systems.
  • Manage project change control activities by preparing change documentation, performing "What If" schedule analysis, maintaining project baselines, updating approved cost and schedule changes, and supporting effective project governance.
  • Ensure project controls integrity by reconciling financial and project control systems, monitoring contractor cost and schedule performance, maintaining accurate purchase order tracking, forecasting project expenditures, and supporting reporting for Project Managers and stakeholders.

Experience Required

  • 8+ years of experience in Project Controls, Project Management, or Project Planning & Scheduling, with direct experience supporting Ontario Power Generation (OPG) or large capital projects within nuclear, utilities, or other complex industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise leading Front-End Planning (FEP), project scheduling, cost control, forecasting, earned value analysis, variance reporting, change management, and integrated project controls throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 (P6 Certification required) for developing resource-loaded schedules, critical path analysis, schedule optimization, baseline management, and project performance reporting.
  • Hands-on experience using EcoSys (required) for project cost management, forecasting, financial reconciliation, project controls reporting, and integration with enterprise project management systems, supported by advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills with proven ability to support multidisciplinary project teams, monitor contractor performance, maintain schedule quality, and deliver accurate project controls information for executive decision-making.
