HIRING-SERVER/BRISTA (BRUNCH)

Are you a people person with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences? Habitat Social, a modern Canadian restaurant serving innovative fusion cuisine, is looking for a professional serve staff to join our front-of-house team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos, according to customer preferences.

Make recommendations to customers based on their preferences and the available menu options.

Operate and maintain espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment.

Ensure the quality and consistency of beverages by following recipes and standard operating procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee shop's dining area and restrooms.

Receive and process payment for orders using a point-of-sale system.

Stock and maintain inventory of supplies, including coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients.

Follow health and safety regulations and guidelines, including those related to food handling, cleanliness, and sanitation.

In addition to these duties, a barista may also be responsible for opening or closing the coffee station, handling cash and credit card transactions, and training new staff members. Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment are essential qualities for success as a barista.
