Description
The Team
The Vanderhoof Child Protection & Family Services Team brings energy and compassion to every day, whether they’re in the office or out connecting with children, youth, families, and communities. This established team includes Child Protection Workers, a Child, Youth and Family Support Worker, and a SPO Assistant, and together they work closely with First Nations partners, Indigenous Child and Family Service Agencies, and local service providers. They support one another, collaborate across programs, and stay focused on what matters most—keeping children safe and helping families build strong, healthy homes.
The Role
The Child, Youth and Family Support Worker provides essential support services to children, youth, and families by meeting with them in offices, homes, and community settings, and by collaborating with local First Nations, Indigenous Child & Family Service Agencies, and community partners to ensure their needs are met. Working alongside child protection workers, this role helps families in crisis, ensuring children and youth are safe and supported while offering meaningful, purpose-driven work that makes a real difference every day.

About this Position:
There is currently a temporary opportunity available until 09/30/2027, this temporary opportunity may become permanent.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
