Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and service industrial refrigeration systems and related mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to ensure maximum equipment reliability.
- Inspect, maintain, and service gas-fired equipment, including boilers, heaters, and associated systems.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and participate in a scheduled on-call rotation as required.
- Support equipment commissioning, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with customers and internal technical teams to maximize system performance and minimize downtime.
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations, industry standards, and company procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic Licence.
- G1 Gas Technician Licence preferred (G2 will also be considered).
- Strong experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial refrigeration systems in manufacturing or process environments.
- Ammonia refrigeration experience is considered a strong asset.
- Solid mechanical, electrical, and control systems troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, piping diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean driving abstract.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the maintenance team.
