Securitas Canada is hiring for an upcoming event in Downtown Toronto!

Position Overview:

Wages: $19.00-$20.00/hr

Shift Timings: Varies (Days, Afternoons, Overnights, Weekends, Rotational)

Office Location: 235 Yorkland Blvd Suite 400 North York, ON M2J 4Y8

Time: 9:30AM-2:30PM

Date: Tuesday July 14, 2026, 10:00AM-3:00PM

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.
Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
Access control duties, ensuring only authorized persons are given access to the site.
Foot patrols when required, ensuring all access areas are secure, walking for long periods during patrols.
Access control and static security duties, possibly checking wristbands and/or tickets/QR Codes and performing bag checks of visitors and patrons.
Crowd control duties, providing guidance to patrons and monitoring flow of visitors around the facility and entry and exit points.
Work with on-site executive and VIP protection security personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid Ontario Security License.
Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
Must be able to stand, walk for extended periods of time
Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
Security experience in event security preferred.
Customer service experience is a strong asset.
Flexibility to work a variety of different shift times.
