The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the administration and delivery of staffing and talent acquisition services. In this role you will identify and maintain screening criteria for all positions and employees; conduct external candidate screening; and process Staffing-related transactions.

Key Accountabilities

Recruitment Services

-

Posts jobs on external sites.

-

Screens resumes for entry level roles and inputs assessment results for evergreen competition screening.

-

Supports the assessment process including marking, scheduling and proctoring.

-

Participates in entry-level interviews (i.e. summer students).

-

Coordinates entries and tracking of contingent workers and provides guidance to the business.

-

Attends career fairs, assists with setup, participate and engage with attendees.

-

Administers the corporate employment screening process, including the annual sign-off process, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement (CBA); consults with and provides guidance to managers and employees on the employment screening process.

-

Provides guidance to candidates on the process for submitting required employment screening information.

-

Liaises with third-party employment screening provider on issues resolution and reconciliation of invoices.

-

Reviews and analyzes reports and prepares documentation related to employment screening.

Candidate Experience

-

Develops an active inventory from the applicant pool by screening resumes and identifying applicants for assessment.

-

Collaborates with staffing consultants to maintain active applicant inventory.

-

Evaluates applicable Written Communication and Planning & Organizing assessments.

Administrative Support

-

Processes all external hire and non-employee transactions.

-

Proctors assessment sessions.

-

Acts as a central point of contact and triages human resources calls, mail distribution and manages centralized email accounts.

Diversity and Inclusion

-

Leads Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) company programming initiatives and events.

-

Endeavors to provide a diverse representation of routed candidates in support of corporate equity objectives and SK Human Rights Commission targets.

Process and Program Improvement

-

Supports continuous improvement by actively participating in analyzing and identifying gaps and opportunities to improve support to the business.

-

Develops solutions that are aligned with broader HR practices as well as meeting operational needs.

-

Recommends changes to recruitment processes, policies and tools.

-

Researches and stays abreast of industry and talent acquisition best practices to adapt them to SGI’s operational needs.

-

Assists in analyzing metrics and reporting to identifying trends to make effective change.

-

Prepares and distributes other ad hoc reports.

Corporate Management

-

Enables the success of programs and policies that are in alignment with corporate, strategic and divisional strategies.

Manages risk in area of authority.

Ensures that the Health, Safety and Emergency Management Policy is applied in area of responsibility.

Education and Experience

-

A two-year diploma from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as business administration or commerce specializing in human resources.

-

Two-years’ experience in human resources administration.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

-

Knowledge of HR policies, procedures and functions and how they interconnect.

-

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective and influential relationships with colleagues, external organizations and business partners.

-

Oral and written communication skills to provide information, advice or guidance to internal partners and vendors, where expertise is required to negotiate with, influence and/or convince.

-

Skill in consulting and facilitating.

-

Ability to analyze and compile data/metrics to support business recommendations.

-

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
