Description
This role is responsible for coordinating transportation operations from start to finish, understanding production needs, aligning the right equipment, dispatching loads, and ensuring accurate billing. The ideal candidate has strong logistics knowledge, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Salary range: $61,000 - $85,500
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipping requirements, matching production needs with appropriate equipment
- Manage maintenance and availability of the fleet
- Build and maintain strong customer relationship
- Assess site conditions and equipment space requirements through regular site visits
- Recruit, onboard, and maintain relationships with carriers, drivers, and owner-operators to support capacity needs
- Optimize equipment and carrier availability to maximize load coverage and efficiency
- Monitor compliance of drivers and carriers, ensuring qualifications and documentation are current

Coordinate, schedule, and dispatch loads to both company assets and third-party carriers
- Track shipments in real time, proactively resolving any operational issues or delays
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into systems for billing and payroll purposes
- Manage billing processes, including invoice creation and discrepancy resolution
- Respond quickly to emergencies or customer concerns, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Prepare and analyze reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics
- Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or operations coordination
- Strong knowledge of flatbed equipment and road weight regulations is required
- Experience working with carriers, owner-operators, and fleet operations
- Proficiency in transportation management systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to react quickly under pressure
